How the Tyler TX Tree Referral Service Works
Tyler TX Tree is a referral website, not a tree service company. We send your request to one independent local tree service company. You never pay us; companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals.
Who runs this site
Tyler TX Tree is operated by The Gadget Aid, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. We publish this website and pass homeowners' requests to a local company. We don't employ tree crews or arborists, we don't own chainsaws, chippers, bucket trucks or cranes, and we don't cut, trim, grind or haul anything.
The guides on this site are written from published sources: the City of Tyler's code and Solid Waste pages, Texas A&M Forest Service, the USDA Forest Service, the Texas Department of Insurance, Smith County, Texas statutes, and national cost guides. Each page lists its sources at the bottom. Prices are national ranges, not quotes, and each page shows when it was last updated.
What happens to your request
- You fill in the form. It asks for your name, phone number, town, the kind of work, how soon you need it, and an optional note. You can send a request here.
- One company gets it. We pass it to one independent local tree service company that serves the area. We don't sell your request to a list of bidders.
- The company contacts you. It may call you to ask about the tree and give you its price. It will tell you whether it can take the job and whether it serves your address.
- You decide. You don't have to hire the company. Any agreement, price and schedule are between you and the company.
Who pays
Using this site is free; you never pay us. Companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals, and that's how the site is funded. We don't add anything to your bill, and the company sets its own prices and terms.
What we don't do
- We don't do, inspect or supervise any tree work.
- We don't give quotes, set prices or take payment for tree work.
- We don't promise the company's work, schedule or prices.
- We don't give legal, insurance or permit advice. For those, ask the City of Tyler, your town, your insurance agent or a lawyer.
- We don't send marketing texts.
What to ask any tree service
Whether you hire the company we refer you to or someone else, ask:
- What does the price include, in writing? Stump grinding, chipping, hauling and cleanup are often separate.
- Can I see proof of liability insurance? Make sure the name matches the company on the quote.
- Who will assess the tree? You can look up any arborist's ISA credential on the TreesAreGood.org directory.
- How will the tree come down near my house? Ask about roping, bucket trucks and cranes.
- Will you paint fresh cuts on my oaks? Texas A&M Forest Service advises it year-round, and advises against wounding oaks from February through June.
- Who calls the utility if limbs are near a power line? Texas law bars work within six feet of a high-voltage line unless the line's owner has arranged safety measures.
Questions or complaints
If something goes wrong with the company you were referred to, contact that company first. If it isn't resolved, or you want us to stop passing on your requests, email [email protected]. We can stop referring to a company that doesn't treat homeowners fairly.

Check any company's credentials and get written terms before you hire. How this works.
